  • Tuka has extensive experience in investment banking, start-up and project financing as he has previously held positions in the leading investment banking bulge bracket as well as in one of the fastest growing bio-tech start-ups in the world. Prior to joining RVJ, Tuka was an Analyst at Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division in NY specializing in an industry group “Basic Materials Group” and later an Associate Manager at Indigo Ag, largest bio-tech start-up in North America.
  • At Morgan Stanley, his responsibilities included advising clients on potential acquisition opportunities, capital structure optimization, strategic alternatives and industry dynamics, creating presentations and documentation for clients including pitchbooks, CIM, management presentations and investor presentations and performing valuation analyses and creating financial models such as operating models, M&A, LBO, DCF, value creation, and SOTP. Notable transactions include the IPO of Warrior Met Coal ($19 a share, $317MM capital raise at $1.1Bn post offering valuation), $335MM sale of Republic Conduit (100% owned subsidiary of steel giant Tenaris) to Nucor Corporation, $1.25Bn issuance of Teck Resources’ senior unsecured notes and activism defense advisory effort of Alcoa’s CEO from Elliot Management.
  • At IndigoAg, Tuka assisted the team in raising additional $156MM of capital through Series D financing, bringing post money valuation of the company to $1.4Bn and making Indigo the largest agriculture focused bio-tech company in the world. With regards to commercial related activities, he supported the senior management team in executing 2017 Commercial Plan and assisted the team in finalizing 2018 Commercial Plan.
